Earth Hour was last night at 8:30pm (local time) and, if 2010 is an indicator, this was the biggest Earth Hour yet. Don’t know what Earth Hour is? It’s when countries and individuals turn off their lights for one hour to make a statement against climate change.

The idea is not the amount of power saved during the hour, but the number of people and countries who, by participating, say that they are committed to fight climate change. Landmarks and cities went dark for an entire hour- check on some of the amazing photos.
